We monitor and report on the implementation of national, regional and international child-rights instruments.
UCRNN spearheads the generation of the NGO Alternative Report on Uganda’s progress in implementing the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and takes a leading role in mobilizing child-focused organizations for collective action at the national, regional and international levels. This independent monitoring gives children’s experiences a formal place in the accountability processes of the United Nations and the African Union, and ensures that government commitments are measured against reality.
